Spring-Summer 2019 Sinclair Lewis Bronze

The Sinclair Lewis Bronze met the Council’s anticipated completion time of summer 2019 and was revealed during Sauk Centre’s Sinclair Lewis Days. The location was chosen to embellish & emphasize the renaming of the Sauk Centre Public Library from Bryant Memorial to Sinclair Lewis Public Library.

A revealing ceremony was held at the Library which many supporters attended.

The statue of Sinclair Lewis is at a level where the public can interact with him and it is encouraged to take a selfie with Sinclair. Tag #SelfiewithSinclair @ArtifySauk Centre on Facebook and Instagram.

This (pictured) is one of the drafts of what we anticipated the Sinclair Lewis bronze would look like once completed. The Council worked with local sculptor Nick Christensen at Brodin Studios in Kimball, Minnesota.

Your donations made it happen. Pavers were set along the sidewalk up to the statue for those who gave $500 or more with their chosen message.

Thank you to the following who gave:

Special thanks to Nick Christensen for completing and installing the work.  Check out Nick's website (https://www.brodinstudios.com/).
